
Entry RequirementsAdvanced Diploma Courses:FNS60204 Advanced Diploma of Accounting: Requires completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate or its equivalent and demonstration of competency in 5 core sectoral units from the Diploma of Accounting. See Course Overview for details BSB60507 Advanced Diploma of Marketing: Preferred pathway is achieving the BSB51207 Diploma of Marketing or achieving competence in the majority of units required for the BSB51207 Diploma of Marketing or substantial vocational marketing experience, with overall responsibility for providing strategic direction and planning for an organisation's marketing function, either domestically or internationally but without a formal marketing qualification or extensive vocational marketing experience in senior marketing positions with a wide range of skills in a specialised marketing communications discipline and looking to consolidate specialist marketing skills with more generic management skills, but without a formal marketing qualification. ICA60205 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Network Security): Requires completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate or its equivalent and competency in nine units containing the basic fundamentals of ICT knowledge and skills (or demonstrated equivalence). Diploma Courses:BSB50407 Diploma of Business Administration: Preferred pathway is achieving the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or achieving competence in the majority of units required for the BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or extensive vocational experience in a range of environments in senior support roles. BSB51007 Diploma of Legal Services: Preferred pathway is achieving the BSB41207 Certificate IV in Legal Services or achieving competence in the majority of units required for the BSB41207 Certificate IV in Legal Services or extensive vocational experience in a range of environments in senior support roles. CHC50302 Diploma of Children's Services: Students enrolling in this course must have attained competency in tweleve units from the CHC30402 Certfificate III in Children's Services. SIT50107 Diploma of Tourism: Requires completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate or its equivalent Entry into some courses such as Child Care may require the completion of a Prohibited Person Declaration and consent to the Working with Children Check.
Applicants are selected providing they meet the necessary qualifications and course requirements. A Careers Advisor will explain the various courses we offer to applicants including details of course duration, qualification outcome and other requirements. As part of this process, applicants are invited to inspect the College facilities and participate in an interview. Applicants are requested to bring a copy of prior school/tertiary education or work history documents to the interview. ACBC courses are designed to assist students to enter the workforce as soon as possible after graduation and prepare them to be a productive employee from day one in their chosen career. Our courses are designed so that people of all levels of ability are able to benefit from vocational skills training. Our philosophy is to place more value on how students perform at each qualification level of a program than on their HSC scores. |
