Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal acknowledgment of skills/knowledge/competencies already obtained through:
RPL is a process which measures the skills an individual has, against the learning objectives of the course in which a student has already enrolled in. If a student’s prior learning through formal training or at work - is relevant to the course then the student may be exempt from some components of the course. The advantage of a successful application is - “students will not have to repeat a subject in which they have already achieved a competency.” All students are eligible to apply for RPL. An assessment fee of $250 per unit of competency applies. The granting of RPL will result in a reduction in student tuition fees. The amount of fees reduction is dependent on the number of units for which RPL has been granted and the course which the student is enrolling in. |
